Welcome to Knowhere, everyone! This post serves two purposes - to have everyone OOCly introduce themselves to everyone else and to start plotting for the game's opening event! You won't be getting a full in-depth explanation of the plot until opening day, but what's wrong with a little taste?

PLOTTING
What we can tell you is that our opening event will be a week long and during that time the network will not be available - an action based log will be up at game's opening for the length of the event. It's primarily a combat oriented event, so if you have a character who can't defend themselves it's a great time to find someone who can and become fast friends. Don't worry though, what spirals out of this will require sharp minds instead of sharp weapons.

NPCs will not be available for questioning during the event, but one or two will pop up afterwards to handle any major questions characters might have.

Exactly what it says! Tell us a bit about yourselves, how to contact you, what you're interested in, who you play, and so on and so forth. Mingle and get to know each other, work out some ideas for CR, whatever!

Hello Knowhere! I'm Ammay and I am 1/2 of your beautiful mod team and I play Gamora from Marvel's comic universe and Rodimus from Transformers IDW because my life is comics. I'm currently working on an MA in history with a focus in Soviet Russia so if anyone has any questions about communists I am here for you.

My main fandoms include comics, comics, and even more comics. I'm primarily a Marvel person but read something on a regular basis from most publishing companies so god if you want to talk about comics I am more than ready for that. I really like space and science fiction and I are besties (as I'm married to history) so that's also… a thing… I'm probably missing something that someone will point out to me sooner or later but YES HELLO.

Gamora is an assassin raised by one of the cosmic Big Bads to do his bidding but now runs around with the Guardians of the Galaxy trying to stop the universe from doing stupid shit but mostly failing. She's got a shard of the Time Gem with her and will hate every second of it! Rodimus is the egotist in recovery captain of a spaceship full of transforming robots who don't know how to deal with peace after four million years of war. He's got the Power Gem and will be able to set himself on fire, because that's fun. He's also twenty feet tall and transforms into a space car, like one does.

Both of them are pretty capable in a fight, so if someone needs rescuing just hit me up.

Hey, everyone! I'm Bailey. I play Newt Geiszler from Pacific Rim, who can be summed up teal dear style in this image. This is my first real stab at joining a game, so I have noooo idea what I'm doing. Luckily, Newt is a very social creature to force me to learn quickly.

Plot wise... Like I said, I really have no idea what I'm doing. Newt couldn't win in a fight against very strong foes, but I like to believe he can hold his own. However, his genius and complete disregard for fear will probably come in handy a whole HECK of a lot more than anything his fists could do.

My other fandoms are great in number and more so in variety. To sum up a few of the major ones: Star Trek TOS, Sherlock (in pretty much any form. book, play, any show...), monster movies (FRANKENSTEIN), BBC's Merlin and Atlantis, MCU, and so on. Lately I've been watching Penny Dreadful with mixed feelings and just started AMC's Turn.

I am a historian by trade, expect many geekery from it and excuse any pseudo-science that comes pouring out of Newt's mouth. I am also a huge film buff with a bias for golden age Hollywood, Wes Anderson, and good pacing.

Hi =) My name's Harley and I'll be playing Veronica Mars from the self-titled series. She'll be coming in post S3 and before the trailer for her sojourn to the FBI (if anyone saw it). She's a nosy nineteen year old licensed P.I. with all the accessories in her bag a girl could need; lip gloss, gum, mace, taser, keys to places that aren't hers... But under that sarcastic exterior is a decent person. Sort of. Most of the time. Hey, she's still learning, okay?

As for me, I wouldn't really say I'm in any fandoms, but I do have a mix of shows I enjoy watching; Veronica Mars (no, really?), Teen Wolf, Game of Thrones, True Blood, Grimm, Haven, Orange is the New Black, The Vampire Diaries/Originals (though I'm way more partial to the show that has the sassy Salvatore dick), Elementary... The list goes on, but that should give you a general glimpse at my likes. And yes, I will forever be pained in the butt that Firefly was canceled before its time. I do enjoy the MCU movies and will fully admit ignorance of anything comic related, but Marvel has a really great background and shh, I grew up with that stupid X-Men cartoon. Gambit/Rogue 5ever.

Plotting-wise, Veronica wouldn't make much of a difference running into a fight at 5'1, but she's willing to try to bluff her way out of things or use her handy zapper. She's got teleportation here, so that will be fun for her to learn and totally abuse.

I'm bringing Wing from the Transformers Drift miniseries. He's an idealistic white knight type--pretty literally. He's also been living in an underground city hiding away from the world for a while so new people? new things? He will be all over them.

I am a huge Transformers nerd. Hello! I'm Sarah and I am GIANT NERD. (actually at 6'1", I really am) ANYway I bring you a GIANT DORK from IDW's Transformers comics, pulled from the current book More Than Meets The Eye. Because this franchise never names anything originally.

So, aside from being quite a large robot (~18ft unless you include the helm finials), what we have here is a former homeless dude and ex-notorious-Decepticon turned new age spiritual guy after a near death experience. Oh, and he used to be an Autobot too but they kicked him out because he has an overactive sense of self-sacrifice and took the fall for some other guys. Yep, Drift has been a lot of things in his life and is named for more than just his short stint in Japan doing Tokyo drift racing! (yes really, thank you Hasbro).

ANYWAY, he's generally a friendly and optimistic person with a fast car for an alt and is quite adept at making things dead with swords. Also he now has Precognition powers! (which will make him even more new agey, bet you didn't see that one coming?)

As for me, I'm not into fandoms too deeply but there are lots of things I'm into. Transformers, Dragon Age, Walking Dead, Babylon 5, ATLA/LoK, Mass Effect, AND MORE but I'm lazy... I love robots and anything sci-fi/fantasy really. Hobbies include drawing, writing, web design/coding, crafting, video games, and tabletop gaming. I do freelance design/graphic art while also being a part time caregiver to my mother who is a stroke survivor.

AND PLOTTING THINGS, I'll be gone for the whole first week of game bc of a very inconveniently timed family vacation. /cries So hopefully some of you will be cool with me coming in and back tagging late?? Or just being super slow the first week...?? Drift is likely to be where the battle is, either kicking ass or helping/protecting people as needed.

my name is tomato, and i'm here with just annabeth chase from heroes of olympus atm! she's fresh from the end of house of hades and thus you know a survivor of tartarus, good times. she's got the reality gem with illusions! annabeth is a seventeen year old demigod daughter of athena, which makes her hella smart and kind of haughty sometimes, but she means well, really!

YOOOO EVERYONE i'm veronica and i never know what to say for these things. i have a plurk (it's hadal) and it's generally a travesty!! generally it ranges from health/food sustainability to screaming incoherently about (mostly marvel but also image) comics. i have a giant fluffy cat beast named pancake and he also makes guest appearances there. i like to watch terrible youtube documentaries and then get scared about aliens. general state of my life. i have also discovered swants.

so this is a pint-sized god of mischief. he's from that brief and wondrous time in journey into mystery where he was small and lovable and still a giant loser. he's generally pretty obnoxious and whimsy, will talk to anyone, will trick or lie his way out of anything, and is pretty good at pretending to be the bad guy! heeee is very well-intentioned, even though it doesn't usually come out right and he has a knack for getting into trouble. he's big into pop culture, but he has a little god-i-ness about him that makes everything a little more eccentric. he's at yellow 13 right now, and i'm sorry in advance.

AS FAR AS THE PLOT GOES HE GENERALLY HAS NO POWERS and uses his legs of great running to get away from things. it's possible that he'll need to be saved. even with his asgardian abilities he. um. he's more of a tricksy person. I do not know much about Journey into Mystery, though I hear it is good and I did experience some of this version of Loki when I read Young Avengers. He looked fun in that. I am currently going to be playing Setsuna Meioh/Sailor Pluto and since she kinda has this soft spot for young kids I think they could potentially have an interesting relationship (even if he's not technically a young kid really). She can at least help save him with her magical girl powers, so there is that.

hello knowhere! i'm hallie and you may know me as the other half of the mod team. i'm bringing in two characters for the grand opening, and they are...



the first is damian wayne. he's the fifth person who be robin in the main dc comics universe, and also happens to be bruce wayne's biological son. he was raised as an assassin and has quite frankly deplorable people skills. he's very violent and is also ten years old. i've pulled him from the end of the pre-boot universe's timeline.

he's got the power gem with super strength, and will be housed in red 05! he's a very good combatant, and will probably be a good ally to have in coming events-- except that he's really wary about allying himself with people. so that'll be fun.



and then we have leonard mccoy, better known as bones, from the star trek reboot. he's a grumpily divorced doctor who works in space even though he hates and it too damn loyal for his own good. he's southern, irritable, and a medical genius-- but the most important thing to know about him is that he has a heart of gold, despite what he'll claim. he's coming in from the end of into darkness.

he's got the soul gem and empathy, and is housed in green 03! he's not much of a fighter at all, but is a good person to have around if your character gets injured! someone will probably need to protect him, though. :'(

ANYWAY, that's them. as for me i am into pretty typical fandoms-- comics, trek, mcu, lots of bbc/america shows and ya books, etc etc etc. i am yet another historian (wow are we being collected) and i have really weird weekend work hours.

Hello! My name is Jami and I'm bringing in Starscream from the comics verse known as Dreamwave. If you've ever seen the G1 cartoon, you're pretty much getting that only more serious slightly.

If you don't know who Transformers: he's a giant transforming robot who thinks he's the best thing ever to exist in the universe. Kinda like Rodimus up there only evil. Sorta.

Also he turns into a F-15 fighter jet. And he was a scientist though he'll deny being a giant nerd because he's too pretty for that.

Which miiiiiight be a good thing, considering the character I am bringing in is no other than Megatron from the IDW comics. For those that are unfamiliar with the Transformers franchise, HE IS THE BAD GUY. Yeah, he sort of starts that four million year long war. Crazy guy thought that the only way to obtain true peace was through tyranny. No joke, Megatron wanted peace and equality and somehow ended up wanting to murder every Autobot just because it would bring him pleasure. But there's a twist...

Megatron, recently in canon, has turned over a new leaf. Notice the red thingie on the chest? That would be an Autobot brand, not a Decepticon one. Yeah, he's sort of trying this thing about obtaining peace through, you know... NOT CONQUERING OTHER WORLDS. He's also presently captain of the Lost Light - a ship full of Autobots. 8D

HELLO FRIENDS my name is Carolyn and I am playing Namorita Prentiss, one of Marvel Comics' most criminally-underused Distaff Counterparts. She's Namor the Sub-Mariner's baby cousin, and like him, she's Atlantean royalty and can breathe water, fly, and drop kick a rhino over the Grand Canyon, but unlike him, she's friendly, laid-back, forgiving, and has never tried to invade New York. Also she was dead for a while but now she's back and It's Complicated even by comics standards, so if you're a canonmate and need the deets, hit me up, but the short version is that she's from 2011 but the last stuff she remembers happening is c. 1992.

My main fandom right now is comics, mostly Marvel 616, but I know my way around parts of DC and other publishers, and if it's sci-fi from before about 2000 (I'm old) I was probably in the fandom at least in passing for a while. Sometimes I go on bouts of being completely obsessed with Elder Scrolls. I also like cross stitch, tea, and math. Hello, I'm Marie, and I currently have a migraine so I'm going to keep this brief. I'll be playing a Marvel 616, Robbie Baldwin/Speedball, aka the idiot formally known as Penance. He likes getting in over his head, his cat, and milkshakes.

I like comic books, coffee, quirky titles that never last like Pushing Daisies, Star Trek TNG, documentaries on Helvetica and fixies, scarves, and knitting. I hate DC's new 52, the Red Wings, and calamari.

Plotting is something that I would like to do. However, my head hurts, and I can think of absolutely nothing. If anyone would like to fall into a group with a goofball whose powers look like this and who probably still needs counseling, let me know.

Hello, everyone! I am Alison, and I'm bringing in Jason Todd of DC Comics fame.

Jason is coming from the end of The Lost Days, so right before he runs off to posture at Bruce and try to hear him see what he really thinks. Bruce doesn't believe it's him, so he says some stupid stuff there, but then he recants and explains himself ... only Jason doesn't hear that. At this point, Jason is bent on his plan to make Bruce pay, but he isn't completely solid on that yet. He's already sold out Bruce's identity, but he hasn't gone the extra step before landing here. He's not exactly the easiest person to get along with, and he's ruthless when it comes to killers and generally actually bad people who should be taken out for good. (In his mind.)

As this is a turning point for him, his path can really go either way, so I'm excited to see how it plays out here.

As for me!

I am another historian (I'm a medievalist), as I guess everyone who's a historian wants to play fictional characters in ... space. My fandoms these days are primarily comics, with a strong emphasis on both Marvel and the books that Image is putting out. I'm also into video games, and my favorite game (and long-term fandom) is Final Fantasy XIII. I recently got into Attack on Titan, as well. Overall, I've read a bunch of stuff, and I get into stuff all the time. Oh, yeah, and I like cats.

HI! My name is Glass, and I'm playing Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord, that charismatic and attractive leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy, from Marvel Comics. He's that guy with the helmet and the guns and no super powers except his ability to talk a lot and get them all into situations well over their heads. Plotwise, I'm sorry, he'll talk your ear off and try to be the authority. Gamora may kick him in the shins a couple of times, but it probably won't help any.

My big fandoms are totally Marvel (although I'm like absolute crap at keeping up with MCU if it's not Guardians and I also fail at participating in fandoms), Transformers (Sad Robots) because Ammay made me, Game of Thrones, True Blood since the newest season's on, and whatever's airing on TV lately, I just drift from thing to thing.

As for me, I'm in transition mode towards grad school, currently interning for a prestigious scientific institution that shall not be named but keeps putting me through the wringer (and so lots of running around this week trying to iron out the kinks and set up experiment stuff to get it all done before I get to leave.) But I'll be starting my PhD in the fall studying polar marine biology with a focus on evolution and eventually running off to do field work in Antarctica.
